Josh Murphy kicks off a bright future for Hethersett VC Junior School
Speedy Norwich City winger Josh Murphy was delighted to help
the pupils of Hethersett VC Junior School to drive into a bright future with
the arrival of their new minibus.
Surrounded by an eager group fresh from their netball lesson, in which he
had taken part, Josh cut a ribbon and climbed inside. Headteacher Matthew Parslow-Williams thanked
representatives of the school’s PTA for their hard work throughout the year in
helping to raise money towards the purchase of the minibus, and members of the
governing body were pleased to recognise the ways in which the minibus will enable children in the school to access a wide
range of opportunities. Representatives of
the Community Sports Foundation, which is closely involved with the teaching of
PE in the school, presented a plaque to recognise their partnership with
Hethersett VC Junior School. As Josh
signed a photo for each of the children their smiles showed that they will
remember his visit, and their smart minibus, for a long time.
