Maths Setting at Hethersett VC Junior School
Why do we no longer set in maths?
In previous years our school set in each
year group for maths. It was decided in summer
2014 that we would no longer take this approach as we believed our children
would make better progress in mixed ability classes. We do however set for maths in Year 6, this
is due to the Level 6 curriculum which is taught in this year group. Our decision was based on research by leading
